Tight tolerance production machining is no problem for Erickson Automatics' coil fed Escomatic machines.
Escomatic machining rotates tools around a stationary length of coil fed metal. This is a variation of standard Swiss style turning which uses spindle-held rotating stock. The continuously fed self-straightening coil stock reduces the turning needed to achieve the desired diameter.
The "Esco Concept" minimizes vibrations, allowing for extremely high precision parts.
The Esco has excellent repeatability throughout the production machining process, even on runs of more than one million pieces.
