Production Machining
Escomatic Machining Operations - Production Machining
Escomatic machining differs from conventional machining because the
material does not rotate in the escomatic machine, the toolhead does.
This eliminates much of the vibration experienced in conventional
machining, allowing for higher precision components.
As the coil stock material is fed into the machine, it is straightened
and held by bushings. The bushings assure that concentricity is maintained
throughout the length of the part. These bushings also hold the material
while the part is being finsihed, elimnating any burr.
Cost Savings
Using coil stock material reduces the machining time to get to the
required diameter and eliminates the loading time of bar stock. There is
also a reduction in material costs because you do not have the material
ends you would have from bar stock.
